Discovery at Indigo

The Discovery team is responsible for the first step in the Research and Development pipeline. This starts with the addition of bacteria and fungi to our strain catalog. The strains that enter our pipeline are identified taxonomically. We then nominate strains to our screening assays to identify microbes that provide benefit to plants. The best of these strains are then tested in our greenhouse and field trials. We also support the Regulatory, Bioprocessing and Commercial organizations by storing and characterizing the most important strains in our collection.

Meet Our Discovery Team

How do you work with others in the lab at Indigo?

"We all work very collaboratively. Although we are in specific reporting structures, I believe these lines should be invisible and that we assist other departments when needed, to get the job done. Timelines are often very tight and it is a teamwork mentality that will set us apart as company who can deliver on challenging goals."
